AUTOTELEMATIC SPIDER BOTS
Autotelematic Spider Bots is an artificial life installation of ten robotic spiders. They create a new morphology of robot walking, are chimeric and were born in a bath of liquid plastic, guided by 3D model data. They randomly walk through space avoiding each other with pulse coded infrared eyes, see like bats with ultrasonic ears and twitter like birds with amplified mouths, while wagging their necks back and forth seeking human interaction as they communicate.
